Spiritual Life
Immanuel School has been established for the sole purpose of bringing the children closer to their Savior, the Lord Jesus.
Worship
Family worship
The main purpose of Immanuel is to bring the children closer to their Lord. Worshiping Him in a regular, formal way is very important. The teacher and parents work cooperatively in developing a regular worship life in the individual student It is the parents God given responsibility to bring their children to church to worship the Lord Jesus with other Christians. Regular church attendance is expected of all families of Immanuel Lutheran School. A covenant statement has been developed to have parents and students clearly state their worship intentions. If you have no church home, you are welcome to worship with the Immanuel Lutheran Church family. Each teacher keeps a record of every child's worship attendance.
School family worship
Since worshiping our Lord is an extremely important activity, it is the practice at Immanuel that all the students attend chapel services once a week as a school family. These chapel services last 30 to 45 minutes. During this time we sing songs of praise, pray and hear object lessons which help the children understand God's relationship with them. As part of our stewardship education, chapel offerings are taken. These offerings will be used for various mission projects as designated throughout the year. You are always Encouraged and welcome to join us for chapel or Church on Sunday.
Religious instruction
Included in the daily curriculum is the study of God's Word.
Classroom devotions are offered on a daily basis.
Prayer
God has given us the vehicle of prayer thorough which to communicate and “plug into His power.” God directs us to “pray without ceasing.” Because God has promised to hear and to answer our prayers, we are requesting your prayers.
For your family: First of all, pray for your family and pray with your family. Take time in your busy family life to join together in praying to God and asking Him to bless your family and each individual in it.
For our school: The name of our school is Immanuel. This name literally means “God with Us. “ God has been with us for over 127 years. Pray that He will continue to be with us and continue to make it a vehicle through which the children and their families learn to know His love and are drawn closer to Him.
For the teachers: The teachers have an awesome task. God Word says "whosoever offends one of these little ones, it would be better if a millstone be hung around their neck and they be drowned in the depths of the sea." Think of the responsibility the teachers have. Think of the attack that Satan will launch against the teachers of His little ones. Pray for them that they remain strong in the Lord and that the Lord would envelop, them with His love.
